In a previous post, I talked about how to start a mental health blog, as lots of you expressed your interest in writing about your own mental health journeys and it sounds like it helped a lot of you start the blogging process!

I know that once you get your mental health blog going however, it can be tricky thinking of mental health blog topics to write about on a consistent basis and knowing what your readers want to see on your blog.

Everyone has mental health, even if they don’t have a mental illness. So you could write about what habits you employ to maintain your mental health.

Things you do for self care

People are always looking for self care ideas to keep in good mental health shape. So you could share self care ideas that work for you, as inspiration.

A round up of mental health resources

A round up of mental health resources is a good way of directing readers to places they can get help online, books you have found helpful, essential oils that you like or even give you an opportunity to link up to other bloggers.

Talk about your mental health goals

Give your readers a way to join your journey by sharing your mental health goals, or maybe even create a 30 day challenge that you and your readers can embark on together.

Things you have learnt from your mental illness

It can feel really unfair when you’re in the depth of a mental illness, it sometimes feels like it has wasted so much of your energy and time but you could give yourself and your readers a little boost of positivity by talking about how your mental illness has taught you things about yourself or how you’re grateful for certain aspects of living with a mental illness.

Steps you took to improve your mental health

Most of the time, people searching for mental health blog topics are looking for answers on how to manage or overcome their mental illness. People want solutions to a problem, they also want hope. Talking about how your improved your mental health and the steps you took to do it, can really inspire someone and give them something to work from.
